Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University softball team (7-20, 2-10 PSAC East) earned an important PSAC East split today with visiting Bloomsburg University (12-9, 4-4 PSAC East).

Lock Haven was edged 1-0 in game one, but picked up a dominating 4-1 win in game two, thanks to the pitching of both Jessie Probst (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) and Rachel Mouillesseaux (Endicott, N.Y./Union Endicott), as well as McKenna Garlock (Three Springs, Pa./Southern Huntingdon) who stood out the plate for the Lady Eagles.

Despite eight game-one hits, Lock Haven couldn't put a run on the board.

Both LHU and Bloom remained scoreless through five full innings, before the Huskies tacked on the eventual game-winning run in the top of the sixth.

Mouillesseaux scattered six hits and struck out three in a tremendous effort despite the final outcome.

Taylor Magee (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) continued her hot streak at the plate with a 2-for-3 showing. Six different Lady Eagles also picked up a hit as the bats came alive.

Bloomsburg's Taylor Parker struck out seven on the way to the 1-0 shutout victory.

In game two, Probst and Mouillesseaux combined for eight strikeouts as they dominated in the circle.

Probst picked up the win after she was perfect through the first 3 2/3 innings. She scattered four hits and struck out four, before giving way to Mouillesseaux, who picked up the save. Mouillesseaux struck out four and didn't allow a hit over the final three innings of the game-two win.

Magee drove in a run in the bottom of the first to help LHU jump on Bloom quickly in the second game of the twin bill.

Leading 1-0, Garlock broke the game open with a two-run home run down the left-field line in the bottom of the third. It was Garlock's team-best third home run of the season and her second in as many days. She was 2-for-3 at the plate.

Chelsea Edwards (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) doubled to center in the fourth, driving in a run to round out the scoring for LHU.

Kayla Glossner (Marsh Creek, Pa./Central Mountain) added a pair of hits in the win.

Defensively, Morgan Palmer (Canton, Pa./Canton) stood out for Lock Haven at second base in both games today.

The game-two win over Bloomsburg snapped a nine-game losing streak.

Yesterday (Saturday), Lock Haven dropped a pair of games to No. 16 Shippensburg University, 3-1 and 6-5.
