Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University field hockey team (5-1) scored three quick goals and outshot Siena (0-5) 19-3 on the way to a dominating 4-2 victory today in non-conference action.

The win was the fifth straight for the Lady Eagles, who remain unbeaten at home (3-0) on the season.

A big difference in the win for Lock Haven was a pair of goals from
Brittney Hickernell (Wernersville, Pa./Conrad Weiser).

The Lady Eagles jumped all over Siena early, scoring three goals in the first 8:33 of the contest.

Hickernell put LHU up 1-0 just 4:06 in after knocking home a long pass in from
Stephanie Whiteman (Trincity, Trinidad and Tobago/Bishop Anstey East).

Just 1:16 later,
Nakira Downes (Bridgetown, Barbados/The Combermere School) beat seven defenders and the goalie to put Lock Haven up 2-0 in the sixth minute of play.

Hickhernall's second of the game made it 3-0 just 8:33 into the game.

LHU outshot Siena 11-0 in the opening frame, as goalie Mary Drabich's five saves kept the Saints in the game.

Lock Haven made it 4-0 in the 53
rd minute when
Colleen McCabe (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabeth) scored her first goal of the season.

Danielle DeGroot scored a pair of late goals in the game to get Siena on the board.

Steph Ebersole (Elizabeth, Pa./Lower Dauphin) led a tremendous defensive effort.

Downes finished with two assists.

LHU returns to action on Saturday, September 20 at 11 a.m. when it hosts Saint Louis (A-10 opener).
