LIVE STATSSetting the stage:The Lock Haven University field hockey team will look to start new a win streak this weekend as the Lady Eagles host a pair of home games. The Lady Eagles enter the weekend 6-2 overall and are a perfect 4-0 at home this season.
Lock Haven opened conference play last weekend with a 3-1 win over Saint Louis.
LHU lost to No. 7 Penn State 5-1 on Tuesday night, snapping The Haven's six-game win streak.
Lock Haven and La Salle meet on Friday in Atlantic 10 Conference action. The Explorers are 3-3 overall and 1-0 in A-10 play after beating Davidson, 2-1 last weekend. La Salle is led by Kendall Kreider and her two goals on the year.
On Saturday, LHU hosts Sacred Heart in non-conference action. The Pioneers are 4-4 overall and looking to snap a two-game losing streak. Lauren Harrisoin leads SH with three goals and one assist.
Three things you need to know:- The Lady Eagles are closing in on the magic number of 800 – LHU enters the weekend with 758 victories since 1945.
- Lydia George leads the Lady Eagles in goals and total points with six and 14, respectively.
- Last year, LHU lead all Division I teams in shutouts per game. The Lady Eagles shutout both La Salle (5-0) and Sacred Heart (4-0) a year ago for two of LHU's 10 shutouts on the season. LHU is 10-1 all-time vs. La Salle and a perfect 11-0 vs. Sacred Heart.
