WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's soccer team had the upset in mind, but in the end, the Lady Eagles were edged 1-0 at No. 7 West Chester today in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.

WCU (7-0, 6-0 PSAC) scored the games' only goal in the 12
th minute to down the upset-minded Lady Eagles (2-5, 2-5 PSAC).

The Golden Rams took the lead 11:30 into the match after Kara Pavel scored her first goal of the season.

LHU recorded seven shots, including four on target, but none could beat the WCU goalkeeper.

Four different Lady Eagles registered a shot on goal, including leading scorer
Jamie Hunter (Marietta, Pa./Donegal).

Michelle Cuomo (Schenectady, N.Y./Herkimer) and
Morgan Euston (Newton, N.J./Newton) split time in goal and made three and five saves, respectively.

The Lady Eagles return to action on Saturday, September 27 when they host East Stroudsburg at 7 p.m.
