Lock Haven is set to take on Drexel Friday (January 16) at 7 p.m., before meeting Penn on Saturday (January 17) at noon.

The Bald Eagles dropped a pair of matches on Sunday (January 11) at the Pitt Duals, falling to nationally-ranked North Carolina State and North Carolina. Lock Haven is 2-7 overall in dual action.

Friday's opponent – Drexel, also competed at the Pitt Duals, going 1-1. The Dragons beat Bloomsburg, but fell to Pitt. Drexel is 4-5 on the season.

Penn is ranked as high as No. 28 in some national team polls and the Quakers lineup features three guys ranked among the nation's top-25 at their respective weight class. Penn is coming off a loss on Sunday at national-power Iowa State. Penn is 1-3 on the season, with all three losses coming to top-25 teams.

Jake Field was named this week's Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) Freshman of the Week.

Field got the call from LHU head coach
Scott Moore at 125 pounds Sunday, Jan. 11 in the Bald Eagles second match of the day at the Pitt Duals and Field didn't disappoint vs. North Carolina. He accounted for one of two LHU wins in the dual vs. the Tar Heels. Field made quick work of UNC's Alex Rinaldi, pinning him at just 1:45 into their bout, putting the Bald Eagles up 6-0 early in the non-conference dual.

Fred Garcia closing in on history: Senior and two-time NCAA Division I tournament qualifier
Fred Garcia is closing in on history as he looks to join a noteworthy group of Haven wrestlers. Garcia picked up a pair of wins last weekend at the Pitt Duals, giving him 21 wins on the season and moving his career win total to 90, just 10 away from the prestigious 100-win club.

Lock Haven has had 15 wrestlers win 100 or more matches in school history, with the last coming in 2007 (Seth Martin, 2002-'07; 133 wins).

McKinney win's F&M Open:Recently (Jan. 3), a number of Bald Eagles traveled to the F&M Open to compete unattached and leading the way was 165-pound starter
Aaron McKinney, who won his second individual crown in six days. He was 6-0 on the way to the title.

Bald Eagles crown three champs at home tournament: On Monday, Dec. 29, the Bald Eagles hosted the 2014 Frist Citizens Community Bank Invitational, finishing second overall.
