After five straight home games, the LHU field hockey team is headed back on the road.
Lock Haven takes on Saint Francis in Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) action on the road Friday (Oct. 16) at 3 p.m. and heads to Lehigh for non-conference action on Sunday (Oct. 18) at 12 p.m.
The Bald Eagles are 13-2 overall and riding a six-game win streak that dates back to September 25. Unbeaten in the month of October, LHU also improved to 3-2 in conference play with Friday's historic win over Massachusetts. On Sunday, LHU closed a five-game homestand with a 1-0 victory over Penn State.
LHU is 11-3 all-time vs. Saint Francis, but the Red Flash won last year's meeting, 2-1 (2OT).
Lock Haven is 7-1 all-time vs. Lehigh and won last year's clash, 4-0 in Lock Haven.
Three things you need to know:1. Senior forward
Rachel Valentine leads LHU with 12 goals, the most in the A-10. She scored a pair of goals last week and was named this week's A-10 Player of the Week.
2. Lock Haven beat UMass on Friday for the first time in school history.
3. Sunday's win over Penn State marked the first time LHU beat the Nittany Lions since 1985.
D-FENCE:Lock Haven's defense continues to shine and the Bald Eagles have recorded six shutouts in 15 games. LHU ranks sixth among all Division I teams in shutouts per game. Lock Haven's 0.76 team goals-against-average is ranked second in DI.
Win streaks in 2015:LHU opened the 2015 season on a six-game win streak before dropping its seventh game of the season to Richmond. Following a 3-2 OT loss at Saint Joseph's on September 23, Lock Haven has won six straight games.
Extra time, no problem:LHU beat Rider, 2-1 in double-OT on October 2, marking Lock Haven's third OT game this season. LHU is 2-1 on the season in OT (1-1 double-OT).
A look at NCAA RPI:The NCAA released its updated RPI rankings earlier today (Tuesday, October 13) and LHU was ranked No. 24. The Bald Eagles were the second-highest Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) team ranked after Richmond (No. 19).

th season of LHU history. Lock Haven has enjoyed a rich history, which includes seven total National Championships. In 70 years, LHU claimed 25 different conference championships (PSAC & NEC, both regular season & tournament). The Bald Eagles have crowned nearly 90 All-American players and over 150 All-Conference players, among various other prestigious honors.
