The LHU field hockey team has just one regular season game remaining and the Bald Eagles host Virginia Commonwealth in Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) action on Sunday, November 1 at 12 p.m.
Sunday's game marks The Haven's 2015 Senior Day and LHU will also honor the 2000 National Championship team on Sunday.
2015 is a special year for LHU field hockey as it marks the 70
th anniversary of the sport at LHU. 2015 also marks the 15
th anniversary of LHU's 2000 National Championship run.
The 2000 squad went 21-2 and was a perfect 8-0 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play on the way to the NCAA Division II National Championship. Lock Haven beat Bentley 2-0 in the National Title game. The 2000 National Championship marked LHU's seventh total National Championship.
LHU enters Sunday's match at 15-4 overall and The Haven is 3-4 in league play.
Three things you need to know:1. LHU is 2-1 all-time vs. VCU and won last year's meeting 2-0.

Rachel Valentine leads LHU with 13 goals, the most of any A-10 player.

Stephanie Whiteman's eight defensive saves are tied for the second-most in DI.
Win streaks in 2015:The loss to Saint Francis (10/16) snapped a six-game win streak for LHU. Lock Haven opened the 2015 season on a six-game win streak before dropping its seventh game of the season to Richmond.
Extra time, no problem:LHU beat Rider, 2-1 in double-OT on October 2, marking Lock Haven's third OT game this season. LHU is 2-1 on the season in OT (1-1 double-OT).
A look at NCAA RPI:The NCAA released its updated RPI rankings earlier today (Tuesday, October 27) and LHU was ranked No. 29.

th season of LHU history. Lock Haven has enjoyed a rich history, which includes seven total National Championships. In 70 years, LHU claimed 25 different conference championships (PSAC & NEC, both regular season & tournament). The Bald Eagles have crowned nearly 90 All-American players and over 150 All-Conference players, among various other prestigious honors.
