Haven Hoops Weekly Preview: Women’s basketball set to host Kutztown and Millersville

Lady Eagles host Millersville Wednesday (Feb. 11) and Kutztown Saturday (Feb. 14)

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven University women's basketball team hosts two Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchups this week against Kutztown (Wednesday, February 11) and Millersville (Saturday, February 14).
 
Lock Haven is 7-14 overall (6-11 PSAC) and is looking to pick up two home wins this week in Thomas Fieldhouse on the PSECU Court.  
 
Last time out:
Lock Haven is coming off a close, 53-50 loss to Mansfield on Saturday (February 7). 
 
J.J. Hilliard led The Lady Eagles with a team-high 13 points and five rebounds.

LHU hosts Kutztown on Wednesday in the second meeting with the Golden Bears this season.
 
The Lady Eagles fell to Kutztown, 66-58 on January 7.  Marrysa Moyer powered the Haven attack with a double-double, netting 13 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.

Kutztown currently ranks fourth in the PSAC, 10-12 overall and 9-9 in conference play.
 
The Golden Bears are coming off a, 58-54 win over Millersville.

Lock Haven will host Millersville in the final of three straight home matchups for LHU. 
 
The Lady Eagles downed MU on the road, 94-46 (January 14), marking the first win against Millersville in 10 years.
 
A balanced attack and strong defensive effort fueled the Lady Eagles, as LHU forced 23 turnovers.
 
Sami Lane led The Haven with 10 points and Emily Daugherty grabbed seven rebounds.

Millersville is currently tied with East Stroudsburg for fifth in the conference.  The Marauders are 11-12 overall and 8-10 in conference action.
 
MU is 4-7 on the road this season.
 
Looking ahead:
Next week, the Lady Eagles will travel to Cheyney (Wednesday, Feb. 18) before hosting Shippensburg (Saturday, Feb. 21) in the final home game this season.  LHU will honor its graduating seniors prior to the game.  Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
