Haven Hoops Weekly Preview: LHU closes out regular season on Wednesday against Bloomsburg

Lady Eagles travel to Bloomsburg Wednesday in last game of the regular season

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven University women's basketball team is set to travel to Bloomsburg University in the last matchup of the 2014-15 regular season on Wednesday, February 22.  
 
Lock Haven is 11-14 overall (10-11 PSAC) and is looking to pick up its fifth straight win of the season on Wednesday (Feb. 25) against Bloomsburg.

Bloomsburg marks the last matchup of the regular 2014-15 season for LHU.
 
Last time out:
Lock Haven is coming off four straight wins, including a last second, 72-70 victory over visiting Shippensburg on Saturday (Feb. 21).   
 
With the win over Shippensburg, LHU clinched its first PSAC Tournament appearance in 24 years. 
 
Marrysa Moyer led the way against SHIP with a season-high 23 points and game-high 14 rebounds. Her 9.8 rebounds per game are the third-most in the PSAC this season

 In the first game against Bloom this season, the Lady Eagles fell, 59-53.
 
Sami Lane powered the Haven offense with an all-around effort, netting a season-high 21 points.  Lane added three steals and grabbed six boards in 33 minutes of action, shooting 5-for-6 from the free throw line.
 
Lock Haven netted 32 points in the paint and shot 82.4% from the free throw line.

Bloomsburg enters the game, 22-3 overall and 19-2 in conference action. 
 
Marla Simmons leads the Huskies with 14.3 points per game and 358 on the year.
 
Looking ahead:
Lock Haven, which currently sits in fourth place in the Eastern Division, will await the results of Wednesday's games before The Haven will know who and where they will play in the first round of the playoffs.  The PSAC quarterfinals are set for Saturday, February 28 at the site of the higher seed.
