EDINBORO, Pa. – The Lock Haven University wrestling team picked up four wins on the night, but it wasn't enough to spark an upset, as the Bald Eagles fell to No. 15 Edinboro University, 21-14 tonight on the road in Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) action.
Ronnie Perry (Christiana, Pa./Solanco),
Aaron McKinney (McDonald, Pa./West Allegheny),
Phil Sprenkle (Seven Valleys, Pa./Dallastown) and
Brad Emerick (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) all won for the Bald Eagles, who dropped several other tightly contested matches.
Down 3-0 after a close loss at 125, Perry put the Bald Eagles in the lead with a dominating performance at 133. Perry recorded two takedowns on the way to a huge 18-2 (5:16) tech fall over Anthony Rivera.
Following Lock Haven's win at 133, Edinboro won three straight, before McKinney (165) put the Bald Eagles back on the board. McKinney grinded out a 2-0 win over Casey Fuller.

Fred Garcia (Donora, Pa./Ringgold) dropped hard-fought 3-1 battle to No. 13 Vic Avery in the night's most anticipated bout.
Sprenkle (197) and Emerick (285) closed the night with back-to-back wins. Sprenkle won 3-0 over Vince Pickett and Emerick took down Warren Bosch 6-2.
Lock Haven will stay in Edinboro and take part in tomorrow's (Saturday, February 7) Edinboro Open Tournament.
