The LHU field hockey team is set to return home for a pair of weekend contests.
The Bald Eagles open Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) play tomorrow (Friday, September 18) at 3 p.m. vs. conference rival Richmond.
On Saturday (Sept. 19), LHU hosts Georgetown in non-conference action at 2 p.m.
Lock Haven is a perfect 6-0 on the season, marking the best start since the team started 7-0 in 2004.
LHU beat Richmond 1-0 last season and is 3-4 all-time vs. the Spiders.
Lock Haven is a perfect 6-0 all-time vs. Georgetown and won last year's meeting 2-1.
Three things you need to know:1. LHU is tied for the national lead in shutouts per game with three. The Bald Eagles are tied with four other teams including No. 1 UConn and No. 9 Louisville.
2. Lock Haven's 0.49 team goals-against-average is ranked No. 1 among all Division I teams. Goalkeeper
Paige Stuppy's 0.73 GAA is ranked No. 3 among all Division I goalkeepers. The Bald Eagles have allowed just three goals all season.
