INDIANA, Pa. – The Lock Haven University football team (0-3) lost 38-13 on the road today at IUP (1-1) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Crossover action.
Alex Boumerhi (Philipsburg, Pa./Philipsburg-Osceola) connected on 34 and 24-yard field goal attempts, and for the second straight week
Dan Krupko (Homeworth, Ohio/Urbana Univ.) caught a touchdown pass from
Caleb Walton (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) to round out the Bald Eagles scoring.
Walton completed 18 of 35 passes for 165 yards and
Beau Swales (Clearfield, Pa./Clearfield) carried the ball 15 times for 78 yards to highlight the offense.
On defense,
Rahjeir Miles-Eubanks (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) once again led the way with 11 tackles.
Daniel Strawbridge (Harrisburg, Pa./Harrisburg) added 10 stops.
Boumerhi's 34-yard field goal as time expired in the first quarter put Lock Haven up 3-0.
The Crimson Hawks led 10-0 halftime and they tacked on 14 third-quarter points to pull away.
Boumerhi hit from 24 yards midway through the third quarter and Krupko's second career LHU TD reception capped a nine-play, 79 yard drive in the fourth.
Lock Haven return home next Saturday, September 19 to host East Stroudsburg at 12 p.m.
