LHU Women’s Soccer falls to IUP

The LHU women’s soccer team dropped a PSAC match 4-1 today to visiting IUP.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's soccer team (1-5, 1-5 PSAC) dropped a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match today, 4-1 to visiting IUP (3-3-1, 3-3-1 PSAC).

Rookie Jordan Shoff (York, Pa./York Suburban) scored the Bald Eagles only goal. She leads LHU with three goals on the season.

IUP's Lexie Palluconi put the visitors up 1-0 in the 22nd minute, but it was Shoff, who fired back in a big way.

Shoff collected a loose ball and blasted a shot to the upper corner, tying the match at 1-1 in the 39th minute.

Following Shoff's goal, LHU controlled the flow of the match and the two teams went into the break still knotted at a goal apiece.

IUP netted three second-half goals as the Crimson Hawks pulled away.

Erin McGrenaghan (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro), normally a forward, entered the lineup today as the starting goalkeeper and made four saves.

LHU returns to action on Saturday, September 26 when the Bald Eagles travel to Edinboro for a 5 p.m. match.
