ERIE, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's basketball team (9-5, 5-5 PSAC) dropped a road PSAC contest at Mercyhurst University (10-5, 7-3 PSAC) tonight 79-66.

Leading the way for the Bald Eagles was
Bootsie Walker (Chester, Pa./Chester) who had an extremely efficient night shooting. Walker went 7-9 from the field and led LHU with 19 points.Â

Lamin Fulton (Philadelphia/Neumann Goretti) provided solid bench scoring, finishing with an LHU career-best 18 points.

Brahieme Jackson (Philadelphia/Bishop McDevitt) chipped in with nine points.

Despite trailing at the half by one, 36-35, Lock Haven held a 42-41 lead with just over 15 minutes remaining. The lead, however was the last The Haven would have, as Mercyhurst went on a 9-2 run over the next three minutes and never looked back.

The loss moves the Bald Eagles back to even .500 record in conference play at 5-5.

Damon Jones led Mercyhurst with 24 points.

Lock Haven returns to action on Saturday (January 9) when the Bald Eagles travel to Cheyney for a PSAC East matchup. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m.
