Men’s Soccer edged 1-0 in non-conference match

West Virginia Wesleyan scored the game’s only goal in the 41st minute and held on for a hard-fought 1-0 win today in Lock Haven.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team (5-7-1) fell to West Virginia Wesleyan (7-6), 1-0 today in non-conference action.
 
The visitors scored the only goal of the match in the 41st minute when Jens Demul headed home a pass at the back post.
 
The Bald Eagles fired off four shots from four different players, but none could beat the Wesleyan goalkeeper.
 
LHU goalkeeper Troy Teresak (Pompton Plains, N.J./DePaul Catholic) made four saves to keep the Bald Eagles in the match.
 
Matt Botros (Farmingville, N.J./Sachem East) turned in a workmanlike effort for LHU and was all over the field in a strong all-around effort
 
LHU heads to Mercyhurst University for a conference match on Saturday, October 15 at 3:30 p.m.
