Gomish leads offense; Volleyball soars past ESU

Sarah Gomish finished with 17 kills, Sass and Nealon finish with double-digit kills.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – A balanced offense led the Lock Haven University volleyball team (3-13, 2-6  PSAC) past visiting East Stroudsburg University (10-11, 2-6 PSAC) 3-1(26-24, 23-25, 25-16 & 26-24) tonight in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play.
 
Sarah Gomish (Ebensburg, Pa./Bishop Carroll) led the Bald Eagles with 17 kills and she hit .341 on the match.
 
Olivia Sass (Roanoke, Va./Cave Spring) and Kristen Nealon (Horsham, Pa./Archbishop Wood) finished with 23 and 15 assists, respectively.
 
Sydney Belcastro (Aliquippa, Pa.Hopewell) continued her great play at libero finishing the match with 26 digs.
 
Chloe Williams (Springfield, Pa./Springfield), Breanna McDonald (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) and Jordyn Topping (Lorton, Va./Hayfield) finished with five block assists each.
 
In the fourth set with the match on the line LHU hit .314, with 13 kills.
 
LHU is back in action tomorrow (Saturday, October 15) when they take on Kutztown at 1 p.m.
