SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Behind a strong effort from Sarah Gomish (Ebensburg, Pa./Bishop Carroll), Gabrielle Stick (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) and Jordyn Topping (Lorton, Va./Hayfield) the Lock Haven University volleyball team (5-14, 4-7 PSAC) upset host Shippensburg University (20-4, 8-3 PSAC) 3-1 (18-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-20) in a huge Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Central Division match this afternoon.
 
Gomish led the Bald Eagles offense with 12 kills and also added 22 digs in the effort, while Stick and Topping each finished with 11 kills.
 
After dropping the first set, 25-18, LHU went on a 3-0 run to shock PSAC Central foe Shippensburg.
 
Sydney Belcastro (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) added 31 digs to her already historic season. Belcastro also finished the match with four service aces.
 
Olivia Sass (Roanoke, Va./Cave Spring) dished out 29 assists and added three service aces in LHU's huge road victory.
 
The Bald Eagles return to action Friday, October 28 at 7:00 p.m. when they travel to California (Pa.).
