LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Despite outshooting visiting California (Pa.) University (10-5-1, 6-4-1 PSAC), 8-5 over 90 minutes of action, the Lock Haven University men's soccer team (5-11-1, 3-8 PSAC) was edged 1-0 by the Vulcans in the Bald Eagles final game of the 2016 season.
Cal scored the only goal of the match in the 57th minute of play when Cooper Amos chipped one home for the Vulcans.
Troy Ampsacher (Lancaster, Pa/Conestoga Valley) led LHU with four shots as he looked to spark the attack and goalkeeper Thomas McClain (Greentown, Pa./Wallenpaupack) made two saves.
Prior to the start of the match, LHU honored its graduating seniors: Amspacher, McClain, A.J. Travis (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley),

LHU finished its first season with head coach
Patrick Long at 5-11-1 overall, but the Bald Eagles have plenty to build on for 2017, which has Haven men's soccer fans excited and looking forward to the future.
