LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Marah Foltz (Mountville, Pa./Hempfield) scored in the 99
th minute to give the Lock Haven University women's soccer team (7-10, 6-10 PSAC) a thrilling 2-1 overtime-victory over California (Pa.) University (2-11-3, 2-11-3 PSAC) as the Bald Eagles capped the 2016 season in style.
Janelle Swartz (Mifflintown, Pa./Juniata) added a goal in the win for Lock Haven.
After a scoreless first half, Swartz put LHU up 1-0 in the 62
nd minute off a pass from Foltz.
Less than three minutes later the Vulcans tied the match 1-1.
The teams remained tied at 1-1 after 90 minutes and headed to OT, where the Bald Eagles dug deep and found some extra-minute magic.
Prior to the start of the match, LHU honored its graduating seniors:
Maddy Novak (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central),
Sarah Bonelli (Apollo, Pa./Apollo-Ridge),
Alexa Ream (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore) and
Taylor Landis (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run).

Kathy Brown led the Bald Eagles to 7-10 (6-10 PSAC) record. The seven wins are the most since the 2008 season.
