LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University Bald Eagles (6-18, 5-11 PSAC) led by
Sarah Gomish (Ebensburg, Pa./Bishop Carroll),
Gabrielle Stick (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) and
Jordyn Topping (Lorton, Va./Hayfield) upset the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Central Division leader University of Pittsburgh Johnstown Mountain Cats (20-8, 13-3 PSAC) 3-1 (28-26, 20-25, 27-25, 25-20). Â

Gomish paced the Bald Eagles offense with 12 kills and also added 12 digs in the effort.

Stick finished with 11 kills, one ace and added one block assist.

Topping added nine kills and two block assists in the upset. Â

The Bald Eagles won a thrilling back and forth first set, 28-26, that saw multiple lead changes. After dropping the second set 25-20 LHU turned it on and defeated the Mountain Cats 27-25 a come from behind third set. The Haven picked up the fourth set and the upset victory with a 25-20 win. Â

Sydney Belcastro (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) added 20 digs in the match. Belcastro also finished the match with two service aces.

Olivia Sass (Roanoke, Va./Cave Spring) dished out 22 assists.

Annie Dombrowski (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) added 29 digs in The Haven's upset.
