Wrestling closes out regular season Thursday at George Mason

The LHU wrestling team will close out the 2015-16 regular season on Thursday, February 18 at George Mason (5:30 p.m.).

The Lock Haven University wrestling team is set to close out the 2015-16 regular season on Thursday, February 18 with at 5:30 p.m. Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) match at George Mason.

The Bald Eagles enter Thursday's action with an 8-9 overall record and are coming off a historic win last Friday (February 12) vs. Michigan State. LHU is 2-3 in EWL action.

Lock Haven is looking to finish at 3-3 in EWL action for second straight season. Last season when the Bald Eagles finished at 3-3 in league duals, it marked The Haven's most EWL wins since the 2004-05 season.

The Lock Haven – George Mason match was originally scheduled for January 22, but postponed because of snow.

The Bald Eagles are a perfect 9-0 all-time vs. George Mason and won eight of 10 bouts in a rout last season.

The Patriots enter Thursday's dual with Lock Haven at 8-11 overall and are 2-3 in league action. Last weekend, George Mason went 0-3 with losses to Franklin &Marshall, Bucknell and Maryland.

A win Thursday would push the Bald Eagles to .500 in dual action on the season. LHU hasn't won nine dual matches in a season since the 2007-08 season when Lock Haven finished 9-8 overall.
