LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's basketball team (11-14, 8-13 PSAC) was edged out 64-55 tonight in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East action at Shippensburg University.
The Bald Eagles had two players finish in double-figures, including freshman
Jalyn Shelton-Burleigh (State College, Pa./State College), who scored a career-high 14 points.
J.J. Hilliard (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) netted 11 points and added two blocks.
Lysa Mealing's (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) dominance on the glass continued and she finished with 21 rebounds. It's Mealing's third straight game with 17 or more rebounds and she's just six away from breaking the all-time LHU single-season record.
Mackenzie Livingston (Blairsville, Pa./IUP) and
Syvae McDaniel (Plainfield, N.J./California (Pa.) Univ.) both scored six points apiece.
The Red Raiders (19-6, 15-6 PSAC) used a strong fourth quarter to pull away from LHU tonight.
The Bald Eagles will close out the 2015-16 regular season and look to secure a playoff spot on Saturday, February 20 at East Stroudsburg University (1 p.m.).
