SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – The Lock Haven University softball team (28-14) dropped both games of a non-conference doubleheader today at Shepherd (29-12).
The Rams won game one 6-2 and completed the sweep at home with a 2-1 victory in game two.
Shepherd won game one, thanks to a strong pitching effort from Tara Hanson, who allowed just two hits.
Both Lock Haven hits came off the bat of

Trailing 1-0, Lock Haven tied the game at 1-1 in the fifth inning when the Bald Eagles pulled off a double steal. Ceely moved to second and
Amanda Loar (Barto, Pa./Boyertown) stole home.
Ceely drove in LHU's only other run in the seventh on a double down the leftfield line.
In game two, Shepherd plated two runs in the fourth and to come back and win.
Lock Haven took a 1-0 lead in the second on a Ceely RBI-single. She went 2 for 3 again in game two and was 4 for 6 on the day.
