Stuppy named A-10 Player of the Week (9/26/16):
Goalkeeper
Paige Stuppy was named the Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) Player of the Week on Monday. Stuppy shared this week's honors with Anna Willocks of Saint Joseph's University.
Stuppy's sensational play in the goal led Lock Haven to a pair of huge conference wins on the road over the weekend. In the 2-1 victory at VCU she needed to only make two stops, but she did just that.
On Sunday in a marathon game at Richmond that went to two overtimes and into a sudden-victory shootout, it was all Stuppy for LHU as she was the biggest key to victory. Stuppy made 10 saves and was dominant in the shootout.
Over the two game span, both A-10 wins, Stuppy recorded a 0.82 goals against average and .857 save-percentage. On the season, Stuppy has a 1.40 goals against average and a .761 save percentage, both of which rank among the top-15 in NCAA Division I. Her goals against average leads the A-10 and her save percentage ranks second.
