The Lock Haven University football team (0-4, 0-1 PSAC East) returns home to host Shippensburg University (3-1, 1-0 PSAC East) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division action on Saturday, October 1 at 12 p.m.
The Bald Eagles are coming off a 37-7 Week 4 loss at West Chester, while the Red Raiders are coming off a 31-14 win over East Stroudsburg University.

- After Week 4, LHU's passing offense ranks 4th in the PSAC with 321.5 yards/game (No. 13 in NCAA Division II football).
- WR Shawn Seif (R-Sr.) leads all NCAA DII players in receiving yards with 155.5/game & ranks 7th among all players (II, III, FBS & FCS).
- Seif's 622 yards are also tops in DII.
- LHU's record-breaking QB Caleb Walton (R-Sr.) ranks fourth in the PSAC and 11th in the NCAA with 310.8 passing yards per game.
- LB Kevin Chapple (R-Sr.) leads the PSAC (16th in DII) in tackles per game with 11.
- Chapple is coming off back-to-back 12-tackle games.
Lock Haven vs. Shippensburg
Saturday marks the 72
nd all-time meeting between Lock Haven and Shippensburg. The Red Raiders won last year's game, 44-34 in an offensive shootout. Shippensburg leads the all-time series 50-18-3 in a series that dates back to 1929 (SU, 26-0). The Bald Eagles are looking to snap a 12-game losing streak to Shippensburg. LHU's last win in the series was 2002, 26-13.

John Ford at running back and how he finished runs. He averaged 6.9 yards per carry on seven attempts.

Kevin Chapple has made himself feel at home at Lock Haven. He opened his Bald Eagle career with a monster outing at Clarion in Week 1, finishing with 14 tackles. Chapple has recorded 12 tackles in each of the last two games. He's one of the leaders among all PSAC and NCAA Division II players.

Shawn Seif has established himself as one of the premier players in the nation and leads all Division II players with 622 total receiving yards and 155.5 receiving yards per game. He has caught at least one TD pass in every game and has four TD receptions of 25 yards or more, including an 87-yard TD reception vs. Edinboro in Week 2 (longest receiving TD by a Bald Eagle since 1995 (96 yards) and the third longest in school history (1993; 99-yard TD reception).
