EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Amir Hinton (Philadelphia/Abington) netted a game-high 25 points, but it wasn't enough for the Bald Eagles as the Lock Haven University men's basketball team (6-5, 2-5 PSAC) dropped its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division opener at East Stroudsburg University (9-3, 7-0 PSAC), 115-78.
Hinton was 7 of 10 from the field and 9 of 9 from the free-throw line.
Cole Renninger (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) matched his career-high with 14 points and
Ra'eese Hunt (Upper Marlboro, Md./Riverdale Baptist) added 12.
Brahieme Jackson (Philadelphia/Bishop McDevitt) finished with eight points and five rebounds, while
Jihad Barnes (Philadelphia/Philadelphia Electric Charter) chipped in with seven points, four rebounds and three assists.
With the win, East Stroudsburg improved to 7-0 in PSAC play and remains tied at the top of the Eastern Division standings with Shippensburg, who is also 7-0.
Tonight's game marked the first of five in the next 12 days for Lock Haven. The Bald Eagles will host No. 19 Kutztown University on Friday, January 6 at 7:30 p.m.
