Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | Graduate Assistant Matt Guiod

Bald Eagles cap season with 1-0 victory

The LHU women’s soccer team wrapped up its season with a 1-0 victory over California (Pa.).

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's soccer team (6-11-0, 5-11-0 PSAC) shut out California (Pa.) University (3-12-2, 3-11-2 PSAC) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action, 1-0.

Before kickoff, head coach Kathy Brown and graduate assistant Matthew McCormick recognized the team's two seniors Alyn Fuchs (Newtown, Pa./Arizona St.) and Leisha Noble (West Milford, NJ./West Milford) for all they did for the program.

After a scoreless first half the Bald Eagles got on the scoreboard when Haleigh Swam (Westminster, MD./Winters Mill) collected a loose ball and fired it above the keepers head in the 63rd minute.

The LHU offense had plenty of chances as they racked up 14 total shots. Gabby Kishbaugh (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) led the way with three of her own.

Bree Hilty (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) stepped up every time she was called to in the net as she recorded two saves in the match.

It was a very well-played game between the two opponents as they combined to only commit seven fouls.

The Haven official end their season at 6-11-0.
