Setting the Stage
For the second year in a row, the Lock Haven women's basketball program will open open up its season in the MEC/PSAC Challenge against Fairmont State on Friday, November 10 at 4 p.m.
Lock Haven hopes to make a return trip to the postseason as they just missed out on making it three straight years last season.
Quick Look at Last Season
Leading the way for LHU is returning starters
Madison McHale (Jr., G) and
Annie Dombrowski (R-Jr., F). Last season, McHale started 25 games (26 GP) and averaged 10.3 points per game. She's the top returning scorer. Dombrowski averaged 23 minutes per game and finished with 4.3 rebounds per game.
Last season
Jalyn Shelton-Burleigh (So. F),
Kayla Henderson (Sr., G), Ayanda McGill Jefferson (Jr., G/F) and
Becca Reilly (So., G) combined to start 38 games. That experience will be vital for the Bald Eagles 2017-18 success.

Smith Enters 11th season at the helm
Lock Haven head coach
Jennifer Smith is starting her 11
th season as the head coach. Lock Haven has made the PSAC playoffs three times during Smith's tenure and she has the second most wins in school history. Assistant coach
Zack Smith is entering his eighth season as assistant coach.
Bald Eagles Take on Division I Toledo in Exhibition Game
Lock Haven traveled for the second consecutive year to face Division I Toledo in an exhibition game last Saturday, November 4. Last season Toledo made the Division I National tournament.
Breakdown of Schedule
The Haven will officially open the 2017-18 season at the MEC/PSAC at Fairmont State. LHU will play host Fairmont State on Friday, Nov. 10 at 4 p.m. and the Bald Eagles will take on Concord at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11.
LHU will return to Thomas Fieldhouse for the first time on November 15 when they are set to host Penn State Altoona at 7 p.m.
