The Lock Haven University women's basketball team will return to action this Saturday, December 2 when the Bald Eagles face Slippery Rock at 1 p.m. at the Thomas Fieldhouse. The Bald Eagles will then face Edinboro on Sunday, December 3 at 1 p.m. Lock Haven is 1-4 this season and has a 0-2 record in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) games this season. This will be Lock Haven's first game since November 19 and The Haven's first home game since November 15, an 84-53 win over Penn State Altoona.
Â
Three things to watch for:
Offensive Output:
Lock Haven is averaging just over 63 points per game this season, but the Bald Eagles lone home game saw an 84 point outburst, 16 points more than any other game this season. The 84 point game was Lock Haven's first win on the season. The Haven no doubt is looking for another chance to explode offensively while playing in front of the home crowd.
Back-on-track in the PSAC:
The Bald Eagles will be facing their third PSAC opponent when Slippery Rock visits. Last season, seven of Lock Haven's 10 wins came against PSAC opponents, so a win on Saturday would be key in picking up The Haven's in-conference play.
Field Goals:
Lock Haven has 286 field goal attempts on the season so far, and the Bald Eagles are just barely being out chanced by their opponents, who have totaled 311 this season. The Haven's 23.4 average field goals per game are trailing opponents by just 2.4 per game, a statistic which could change using the success at home like they found against Penn State Altoona.
