Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 SALEM, Va. – The Lock Haven University softball team (6-10) wrapped up a busy five-game weekend at the Salem Invitational with 1-2 record today (Saturday, March 11) as the Bald Eagles went 2-3 overall in Salem.
 
LHU opened a busy Saturday today in the bottom of the seventh vs. No. 13 West Virginia Wesleyan in a game that started last night, but was halted. W.Va. Wesleyan led 10-1 in the bottom of the seventh when the game was postponed Friday night. The Bobcats hung on for the 10-1 win today.
 
Glenville State topped Lock Haven 7-5, but the Bald Eagles closed the weekend with a strong 6-2 win over Tiffin
 
Yesterday (Friday, March 10), LHU beat Ursuline 11-5, but was edged by Shepherd, 11-9.
 
Saturday, March 11
Game 3: FINAL, #13 West Virginia Wesleyan 10 – Lock Haven 1
Becca Caputo had a home run to lead the way for Lock Haven vs. nationally-ranked West Virginia Wesleyan.
 
Game 4: FINAL, Glenville State 7 – Lock Haven 5
Despite the loss, the Bald Eagles continued to benefit from the long ball as McKenna Garlock hit a grand slam and Chloe Kennedy added a home run as well.
 
Game 5: FINAL, Lock Haven 6 – Tiffin 2
LHU capped a busy Saturday and a five-game weekend with a win over Tiffin. Garlock hit another home run as did Rachel Mouillesseaux. Pitcher Bekah Slattery picked up the win in the circle for Lock Haven.
 
Friday, March 10
Game 1: FINAL, Lock Haven 11 - Ursuline 5
Jodi Weaknecht and Moriah Lindsey sparked the Bald Eagle surge at the plate as each homered. Lindsey's home run was a three-run shot that broke open a 4-4 tie.
 
Game 2: FINAL, Shepherd 11 – Lock Haven 9
Lindsey was 3 for 4 at the plate vs. Shepherd and Garlock went 2 for 4 with two RBIs.

Next week, Lock Haven is scheduled to play at Goldey-Beacom on Thursday, March 16 (DH, 2:30/4:30 p.m.) and at Georgian Court on Friday, March 17 (DH, 2/4 p.m.).
