JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's soccer team (2-3, 2-3 PSAC) defeated Pitt-Johnstown (1-4-1, 1-4-1 PSAC) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action, 2-0.
LHU kept the pressure on the Pitt-Johnstown defenders as they had numerous attempts to score throughout the game totaling 10 shots on target.
They finally got on the scoreboard in the 74
th minute when
Jordan Shoff (York, Pa./Suburban) fired a shot from
Erika Landis (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run) after a free kick.
The Bald Eagles continued that momentum to put the game away in the 85
th minute when
Haley Predix (Lewistown, Pa./Mifflin County) sent a cross to the far left box where
Haleigh Swam (Westminster, MD./Winters Mill) finished the play as she put it past the keeper.
Bree Hilty (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) was once again a dominant force in the net as she turned away six shots from the Mountain Cats on the way to her second shutout this year.
The Haven will return to the pitch when they host Slippery Rock on Friday, September 22 at 1:30 p.m.
