Playing on the road for the first time in 2017, the LHU women’s soccer team fell to No. 3 Kutztown University.

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's soccer team (0-2) hit the road for the first time in the 2017 season and the Bald Eagles fell to No. 3 Kutztown University (3-0) in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference match. The Golden Bears won 5-0.

The third-ranked Golden Bears led 2-0 at halftime on goals from Maddie Mohr (PK, 8') and Randi Smith (23'). Late in the first half, Lock Haven's Lauren Tubay (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) looked to spark the attack, but her shot as time expired was saved by KU goalkeeper Jenna Bracken.

Host-Kutztown added three goals in the second half on the way to the win.

LHU goalkeeper Bree Hilty (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) finished with seven saves as she did all she could to spark the Bald Eagles from the back.

Jordan Shoff (York, Pa./York Suburban), Gabby Kishbaugh (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) and Haleigh Swam (Westminster, Md./Winters Milll) combined to record seven of The Haven's eight shots as the trio looked to ignite the offense.
