MANSFIELD, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's basketball team (4-7, 2-5 PSAC) picked up a huge road win at Mansfield University (4-6, 3-4 PSAC) behind
Ra'eese Hunt's (Upper Marlboro, Md./Riverdale Baptist) career-high 24 points. The Bald Eagles secured an important Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) victory with the 88-80 win.
The victory snaps an 11 game skid at Decker Gymnasium in Mansfield. The game saw seven lead changes and was tied up eight times, before the Bald Eagles pulled away late behind clutch free throw shooting.
With 1:11 remaining in the game and a four point lead, LHU went 9-10 from the free throw line to put the game out of reach.
Hunt also added seven rebounds in his dominant performance.
Amir Hinton (Philadelphia/Abington) also played a well-rounded game as he scored 21 points, hauled in eight rebounds and added three steals.
Tarojae Brake (Coatesville, Pa./Octorara) chipped in with 15 points and brought down six rebounds.
Matt Cerruti (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Archbishop Wood) and
Jihad Barnes (Philadelphia/Philadelphia Electric Charter) both hit the double-digit mark as they scored 10 points respectively.
