LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (8-10, 3-6 PSAC) fell at home to the Golden Bears of Kutztown (7-11, 1-8 PSAC), 3-1 (20-25, 30-28, 25-13, 25-18) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action Saturday afternoon at Thomas Fieldhouse.
The Bald Eagles won the first set, but the Golden Bears were able to slip by LHU thanks to three hard-fought set victories.
Shaye Whiteman (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg), one of the premier defensive players in all of college volleyball had 31 digs for the Bald Eagles.
Gabrielle Stick (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) led the way offensively with 14 kills.
Breanna McDonald (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) and
Veronica Morrison (Wyalusing, Pa./Wyalusing Valley) added 9 kills each.
Kristen Nealon (Horsham, Pa./Archbishop Wood) added 34 assists.
Leading the way for Kutztown was Brittney Moyer with 22 kills and 12 digs.
