Rudy gets win No. 600:
Friday's (Oct. 4) 2-0 win at Davidson proved to be a historic one. The win gave LHU head coach
Pat Rudy her 600th career victory, a career coaching milestone that only two NCAA field hockey coaches have reached before her. Rudy entered the 2018 season with 593 wins and Friday's win – the seventh of the season for LHU – pushed her to the magic No. 600. Rudy's 600 wins are the third-most in NCAA field hockey history and previous to today, only two other coaches had reached and surpassed that 600-win mark in the sport. Coach Rudy is now 600-219-21 all-time. The 2018 season marks her 23rd at LHU, her alma mater, and her 41st season coaching overall at the college level. Rudy entered the season already holding the third-most wins of all-time. Her career win percentage to date is .727, which ranks among the top-25 all-time and has her listed among the top-five for active head coaches.
