LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (10-17, 5-13 PSAC) fell to the University of Pitt-Johnstown (18-12, 12-6 PSAC) 3-0 (25-15, 27-25, & 25-19) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup Saturday afternoon at Thomas Fieldhouse.
LHU took time to honor its senior class before the match.
Veronica Morrison (Wyalusing, Pa./Wyalusing Valley),
Gabrielle Stick (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township),
Katie Eustice (Clarion, Pa./Clarion Area), and
Chloe Williams (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) were all thanked for their contributions to LHU Volleyball.
Breanna McDonald (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) was strong offensively for the Haven and finished with 11 kills and a .318 hitting percentage. Also chipping in was Stick with 8 kills and Williams with 7.
Kristen Nealon (Horsham, Pa./Archbishop Wood) added to her impressive season with 32 assists and 13 digs.
Shaye Whiteman (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) led the Bald Eagles defensively and added 16 digs to her season total.
LHU ends the season at 10-17 overall and 5-13 in PSAC play. For the year, The Bald Eagles registered wins over PSAC powers West Chester, East Stroudsburg and Shippensburg.
