LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – After a break for the holidays, the Lock Haven University women's basketball team is ready to return to the court. The Bald Eagles will officially close the 2018 portion of their 2018-19 season schedule tomorrow (Sunday, December 30) at home when they host Seton Hill at 2 p.m.

Both teams enter tomorrow's contest with identical 7-3 overall records. The Sunday afternoon game will be played as a non-conference contest.

Lock Haven will look to start a new win streak after an amazing start to the season. The strong start helped the Bald Eagles find themselves ranked among the top-10 in the Atlantic Region.

The Bald Eagles last played on December 19 as they fell at Edinboro, 89-65. The day before, LHU lost at Slippery Rock, 77-66. The December 18 loss at SRU snapped Lock Haven's six-game win streak. The Bald Eagles started this season at 7-1.

The early-season six-game win streak marked LHU's longest win streak in 13 seasons and the strong 7-1 start was Lock Haven's best start to a season in 29 years.

The Bald Eagles are 4-0 at home on the season.

Lock Haven is led by Rileigh Devine and her 14.8 points per game. She is one of four players averaging in double figures scoring. Ahnera Parker is averaging 11.3 points per game, freshman-sensation Taylor Leidy is scoring 10.6 points per game and Jalyn Shelton-Burleigh adds 10 points per game. Bink Redman rounds out the solid scoring from the starting-five as she is averaging 9.3 points per game while leading the team in rebounds with 7.3 per game.

LHU head coach Jennifer Smith is getting closer to her 100th win at Lock Haven. She currently has 95 wins at The Haven, as she's turned the program around in a big way, and this season's start is another big part in the growth of Haven women's hoops.

For Seton Hill, the Griffins last played on December 19, an 81-69 win over West Chester.

Following tomorrow's game, Lock Haven will open the fresh 2019 calendar year on Wednesday, January 2 at Bloomsburg. The game will mark LHU's 2018-19 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division opener. The Bald Eagles are 3-2 in PSAC play.
