WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's basketball team (7-16, 5-14 PSAC) was defeated on the road to West Chester University (20-4, 16-4 PSAC) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East action, 105-84.
The Haven and Golden Rams were tied at halftime, however West Chester used a big second half to secure the win. West Chester is currently atop of the PSAC East standings and is ranked as high as No. 23 in some national polls.
Amir Hinton (Philadelphia/Abington) powered the offense as he scored a 27 points to go along with nine rebounds, both of which were game-highs.
Three other Bald Eagles eclipsed the double-digit plateau as
Tarojae Brake (Coatesville, Pa./Octorara),
Marques Jackson (Philadelphia/Monsignor Bonner) and
Matt Cerruti (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Archbishop Wood) scored over 10 points each.
Brake finished the game with 15 points, Jackson added 12, while Cerruti rounded out the group with 11 points and chipped in with six rebounds.
The Haven will remain on the road as they travel to take on Millersville on Saturday, February 17 with tip-off at 3:00 p.m.
