Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Men’s Basketball closes season at home on Senior Day

The LHU men’s basketball team closed the 2017-18 season today at home with an 85-62 loss to Kutztown. The Bald Eagles also honored their two seniors: Scott Brown, Jr. and Ra’eese Hunt.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Prior to today's season-ending game, the Bald Eagles honored their two seniors Ra'eese Hunt (Upper Marlboro, Md./Riverdale Baptist) and Scott Brown Jr. (Abington, Pa./Abington). Both played well for Lock Haven, but in the end the Lock Haven University men's basketball team (8-18, 6-16 PSAC East) fell to visiting  Kutztown University (20-6, 16-6 PSAC East) 85-62 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division action.

Hunt finished with a monster double-double. He scored a game-high 20 points and added 11 rebounds. Brown netted four points and grabbed three rebounds.

Matt Cerruti (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Archbishop Wood) capped a sensational true-freshman season with an 10-point effort today. He also had five rebounds. Tarojae Brake (Coatesville, Pa./Octorara) did it all for Lock Haven this season and today he had eight points, five rebounds and two assists.

Hunt finished his career with 1,096 points, good enough for 17th all-time in LHU history. He was one of two Bald Eagles to hit the 1,000-point mark as sophomore Amir Hinton (Philadelphia/Abington) reached the prestigious mark as well earlier this season.
