Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men’s Soccer soars past Bloomsburg in PSAC opener

The LHU men’s soccer team opened PSAC play in thrilling fashion tonight as the Bald Eagles soared by host Bloomsburg, 4-0.

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team (2-2-1, 1-0 PSAC) got goals from four different players on the way to a dominating 4-0 road win at rival Bloomsburg University (2-3, 0-1 PSAC) tonight in the Bald Eagles 2018 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) opening match.

It was all Lock Haven from the start.

Andrew Moore (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley), Brian Flatter (Frederick, Md./Oakdale), Reginald Holt (Pittsburgh/Penn Hills) and Shane Colegrove (Athens, Pa./Athens) all scored for the Bald Eagles.

Moore put Lock Haven up 1-0 in the 12th minute when he headed home Flatter's pass directly off a corner kick.

It was Flatter who put LHU up 2-0 when he knocked home a Beckham Sibiski (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown H.S.) pass in the 25th minute of play.

Just 22 seconds before halftime, Holt made it 3-0 after he tucked home a pass from Colton Dellinger (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest).

The Bald Eagles took the three-goal lead into halftime, but didn't stop there. In the 75th minute Colegrove made it 4-0 after he beat the keeper following a pass in from Matthew McDermott (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg). Colegrove's second-half strike rounded out a busy scoresheet for The Haven.

On the defensive side Kyle Hartman (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown H.S.) led the way and turned in a tremendous effort at center back, which paved the way for the clean sheet.

LHU goalkeeper Camden Cook (Rosedale, Md./High Point) made five saves on the way to the shutout, his second of the season. Through five games this season, Lock Haven has allowed only three goals.

LHU will host Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday, September 15 at 7:30 p.m. at Hubert Jack Stadium.
