CALIFORNIA, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (5-5, 0-1 PSAC) fell on the road to California University of Pennsylvania (8-5, 1-0 PSAC), 3-0 (27-25, 25-23, 25-22) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action Friday night.
The Bald Eagles and the Vulcans battled in all three sets with two of the three sets being decided by only two points. California (Pa.) was able to outlast LHU and get the win.
Lock Haven was led by a strong all-around performance from
Veronica Morrison (Wyalusing, Pa./Wyalusing Valley). Morrison led LHU with 11 kills to go with 14 digs and two blocking assists.
Gabrielle Stick (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) had seven kills and 11 digs for LHU while
Breanna McDonald (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) tallied seven kills.
Kristen Nealon (Horsham, Pa./Archbishop Wood) racked up 32 assists for the Bald Eagles as well as 11 digs and three kills.
Shaye Whiteman (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) continued her strong defensive play, tallying 27 digs.

The Bald Eagles will return to action tomorrow when the team travels to Seton Hill to take on the Griffins in more PSAC action. That game is scheduled for a 1:00 pm first serve.
