SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's soccer team (3-2-1) looked poised to break through on the scoresheet late in the second half, but the Bald Eagles couldn't find the back of the net, and LHU and Slippery Rock (6-1-1) battled to a 0-0 double-overtime draw.
After a scoreless first half, Lock Haven held a slight lead in shots on goal with 2 to Slippery Rock's 0.
Lock Haven put the pressure on in the second half. They created a number of scoring opportunities. With a number of shots on goal late in the second half coming from
Marah Foltz (Mountville, Pa./Hempfield). Foltz lead the way with 8 shots, 4 on goal.
Over 110 total minutes of action the score finished tied at 0-0. The Bald Eagles held a 17-9 advantage in shots.
