LHU Football announces 2018 Gridiron Greats

The LHU football team will honor its 2018 Gridiron Greats this Saturday during its matchup against Clarion.

The Lock Haven University football team will be honoring its 2018 Gridiron Greats as part of Saturday's home opener.
 
Jim Doran
Doran played nose guard for LHU during the 1975 and '76 seasons after transferring to The Haven. Doran earned All-Conference honors both years, and ranks No. 5 in program history with 141 total tackles in a single season. He also ranks No. 2 in LHU history with 106 assisted tackles in a single season and in his two years at The Haven "Taz", as he was known by his teammates, made 163 assisted tackles which is third most all time in LHU football.
 
Brian Sekerak
Sekerak played defensive end for the Bald Eagles from 1979 through 1982. He earned All-Conference honors a total of five times. Twice as a defensive end in '81 and '82, and three times as a punter from 1980-82. "Big Red" is still ranked No. 2 in LHU history with 18 career quarterback sacks, and appears in the LHU top ten career and single season records a total of 18 times.
 
John Spinosa
Spinosa played wide receiver for LHU during the 1992 through 1995 seasons. "The Spin" is still extremely well-documented in the LHU top ten single season and career record books as he still appears a total of 15 times. Spinosa was named to the All-Conference teams in both 1994 and '95.
 
Maurice Walker
Walker was a running back for Lock Haven from 2001 to 2004. Walker rushed for a career total of 2,800 yards, which is third all-time by a Bald Eagle. "Reece" appears in the LHU record books a total of nine times and is ranked in the top five in eight rushing categories. Reece was named to the All-Conference team in 2002 and 2004.
 
Chris Kustanbauter
Kustanbauter played nose guard for the Bald Eagles from 1981 through 1984. He was named to the All-Conference team in both 1983 and '84. Chris still holds the LHU single season record with 12 quarterback sacks. He ranks No. 2 in all-time yards lost from sacks and No. 3 in career sacks. Kustanbauter was selected a team captain in '84, and also earned the highest team GPA in 1984.
