WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The Lock Haven University women's basketball team (8-9, 4-7 PSAC) dropped a close game to West Chester University (8-10, 4-6 PSAC) 77-71 on Friday night in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup.
The Bald Eagles trailed for most of the game but made a late comeback attempt which fell just short due to clutch free throw shooting from the Golden Rams, which put the game out of reach in the final minute of action.
Ahnera Parker (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey) led three Bald Eagles in double digits with 17 points. Parker turned in an efficient night on 7-12 shooting from the field. Freshman Taylor Leidy (Alexandria, Pa./Juniata Valley) was tallied 15 points on a 50 percent shooting night. Leidy was also a perfect 4-4 from the foul line and added four assists. Rileigh Devine (Etters, Pa./Red Land) rounded out the scorers in double digits with 13 points.
Bink Redman (York, Pa./William Penn) led the team in three different categories rebounding with 10, assists with eight and three steals.
