The outlook:
The No. 21 Lock Haven University wrestling team is set for its return to Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) action. Undefeated in league duals this season (2-0), the Bald Eagles will travel to rival Edinboro University tomorrow (Thursday, Jan. 31) night for a 7 p.m. meet.

Edinboro is 2-6 overall and 1-3 in EWL action this season. The Fighting Scots hold a league win over Cleveland State.

After a huge 2-0 outing last week, the Bald Eagles hold a 5-2 overall record. Last week, Lock Haven secured a lopsided upset-win over nationally-ranked Arizona State, before capping the weekend with a shutout of Millersville Sunday. In the Friday-night win over Arizona State in front of a packed house at Red Lion High School, LHU won six of 10 bouts and rolled past ASU. Lock Haven returned home and blanked Millersville 45-0 for LHU's first shutout since January 2008.

Lock Haven will close this week out on Saturday at No. 13 Cornell (1 p.m.). The Big Red at 8-2 overall.

The Thursday night match vs. Edinboro will mark the second this season for LHU vs. a Division I Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) team. Overall, LHU is 1-0 vs. DI PSAC teams and 2-0 vs. the PSAC in dual meet action.

Lock Haven holds a slim 27-25 advantage all-time in the series with Edinboro, but the Fighting Scots have controlled the series as of late. Edinboro has won 16 straight duals matches over Lock Haven with the Bald Eagles last win coming in February 2002. Last season, Edinboro won 22-14 in Lock Haven.

Cornell leads the all-time series 11-4-1. Last season, the Big Red won 20-18 in a thriller at LHU.
