It's Week 9 of the NCAA Division II football season and the Lock Haven University football team is set for its second straight Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division road game. The Bald Eagles are headed to Shippensburg University Saturday (Nov. 2) for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
Lock Haven enters the game at 1-7 overall (0-5 PSAC East) and is looking for its first win since Week 1 when the Bald Eagles rolled by Lincoln, 57-13.
Shippensburg is 2-6 overall and sits at 2-3 in the PSAC East.

- LHU is 1-7 overall.
- LHU is 0-5 in PSAC East action.
- LHU is 0-4 on the road this season.
- Lock Haven is looking for its first PSAC East win since last season when the Bald Eagles opened PSAC East play 1-0, thanks to a win over East Stroudsburg.
- This season, the Bald Eagles are 1-3 at home. LHU opened the 2019 season with a lopsided 57-13 win over Lincoln in Week 1.
- At 181.0 yards per game, the Bald Eagles feature the No. 1 rushing offense in the PSAC.
- Standout running back Chantz Swartz is averaging 100.1 yards per game, which ranks No. 1 in the entire PSAC. He has six rushing touchdowns and one receiving TD.
- Last week vs. Bloomsburg, Swartz rushed for 135 yards and two TDs. His career-high came vs. Shepherd earlier this season (173 yards).
- Junior tight end Jalen Jackson (7GP/6GS, sat out Week 3), a 2018 All-American and a 2019 Preseason All-American, leads LHU with 69.6 receiving yards per game. He's ranked No. 11 in the PSAC in that category and sits as the No. 1 ranked tight end.
- Defensive back Kahari Whitfield and linebacker Alex Welch lead LHU with 56 and 53 tackles, respectively.
- As a team, LHU has eight interceptions, the No. 9 mark in the PSAC.
- Freshman standout defensive back Levi Engle has four of Lock Haven's eight interceptions.
- Last week vs. Bloomsburg, Engle recorded an INT, marking his third straight game with a pick.
- Engle is tied for the league lead in total interceptions with four. He also has six breakups and ranks No. 7 in the PSAC in total passes defended.
- LHU head coach Dave Taynor enters his fifth season at LHU and 12th overall as a collegiate head coach. At LHU he's 11-41 (9-23 PSAC East). Overall he's 48-81.
