MERION STATION, Pa. – Freshman-standout
Jazmin Palma (Entre Rios Province, Argentina./Colegio Sagrado Corazon de Jesus) fired off three shots in an attempt to the spark the Bald Eagles offensive attack, but in the end the Lock Haven University field hockey team (4-6, 2-1 A-10) fell to No. 10 Saint Joseph's (9-1, 2-0 A-10), 4-0, today on the road in Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) action.
Amy Stevens (Castle Creek, N.Y./Whitney Point) added two shots and goalkeeper
Joaquina Orlandini (Concordi, Entre Rios, Argentina/San Antonio School) made five saves.
Palma entered the weekend as the A-10's leader in shots. She leads Lock Haven in goals and points on the season with three and eight, respectively.
Saint Joseph's led 2-0 at halftime and got its four goals from four different players including Kate Blincoe, who opened the scoring in the first quarter.
Lock Haven will play at La Salle on Sunday (October 6) at 12 p.m.
