LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's volleyball team (6-8, 0-4 PSAC) finally got to play on its home court in 2019, but visiting Slippery Rock University (7-7, 2-1 PSAC) took home the win, 3-0 (25-23, 25-21 & 25-17), tonight in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.
It was a tight first set - to open the match - that saw Slippery Rock slide by Lock Haven 25-23 in the opening frame. The next two sets would go the Rocks way, as SRU won the second set 25-21 and the third set 25-17.
The Bald Eagles were led by
Breanna McDonald (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) who had a team-high nine kills and also recorded 15 digs.
Gloria Kroh (Clarion, Pa./Clarion Area) was right behind McDonald in kills with seven.
Kristen Nealon (Horsham, Pa./Archbishop Wood) was active in the middle of the court piling up 23 assists to lead the Bald Eagles.
Paige Wolfe (Plano, Tx./Plano West) was strong defensively recording 20 digs.
Cassidy Hoover (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle High) had 16 digs on the day for the Bald Eagles.

After playing the entire season to date away from home at tournaments or in true road matches, the Bald Eagles get to play at home twice this weekend. LHU will host Clarion University tomorrow (Sat, Oct. 5) at 1 p.m. as part of a two-match homestand this weekend.
