LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University field hockey team is set for a pair of home games this weekend on Charlotte Smith Field.
The Bald Eagles will open the weekend at home on Friday, October 11 vs. Virginia Commonwealth. The Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) game is set for a 3 p.m. start. On Sunday (October 13), LHU will host Lehigh in non-conference action at 1 p.m.
VCU is 5-5 overall and, like Lock Haven, is 3-1 in A-10 action. Heading into the weekend, Lock Have and VCU are tied for second in the A-10 standings by way of their 3-1 records.
Lehigh is 5-5 and plays at Bucknell on Friday.
Lock Haven is coming off an important 1-0 A-10 road win at La Salle and the Bald Eagles are 5-6 overall.
News, notes & storylines heading into the weekend:
- LHU is 5-6 overall.
- Lock Haven is 3-1 in A-10 action this season.

- Palma leads the A-10 in shots with 47.
- On the season, the Bald Eagles 10 goals have come from six different players.
- Goalkeeper Joaquina Orlandini has been brilliant for the Bald Eagles. In 714-plus minutes, she has 40 saves, a 1.43 GAA and a .702 save-percentage. She's been brilliant in the shootouts.
- Orlandini leads the A-10 in shutouts per game, ranks No. 2 in goals-against-average (1.43) and ranks sixth in save-percentage with a mark of .702.
- Her GAA is the 22nd best mark in NCAA Division I field hockey.
- To date (5 wins this season), Hall of Fame head coach Pat Rudy now has 607 career coaching victories.

Following Sunday's (October 13) non-contest game at home vs. Lehigh, the Bald Eagles will return to action on Friday, October 18 at 3 p.m. when they host Massachusetts in A-10 action. On Sunday, October 20, Lock Haven will host Wagner.
