LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Quarterback
Kyle Knight (Myerstown, Pa./Eastern Lebanon) and running back
Dante Graham (Glen Mills, Pa./Unionville) combined for 270 yards to lead the way for the Lock Haven University football team (1-9, 0-7 PSAC East), but the strong individual offensive outings were not enough, as perennial Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division power West Chester University (8-2, 5-2 PSAC East) won today at Hubert Jack Stadium, 56-14.
Knight ran for 166 yards on 23 carries from the QB spot and he also hauled in a touchdown catch. He was 10 of 24 passing (2 INTs) for 79 yards. He ran for a 68-yard TD in third quarter.
Graham started at running back for the second consecutive week and turned in another strong game. He racked up 104 yards on 25 carries as both him and Knight went over 100-yards on the ground.
All-American tight end
Jalen Jackson (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) threw a TD pass while also hauling in two catches on the day.
Bryan Greene (Milesburg, Pa./Bald Eagle) and
Alex Lantz (New Cumberland, Pa./Cedar Cliff) both made three catches.
Alex Welch (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville) had 10 tackles (8 solo) and
Stevie Pugh (Coatesville, Pa/Coatesville) added six stops.
The Bald Eagles will close out the 2019 regular season next Saturday, November 16 at home with a 1 p.m. PSAC Crossover Game vs. Gannon. LHU will honor its seniors before the game. Lock Haven beat Gannon last year in Erie in a thriller, 50-48.
